The integral map (below) is composed of four quadrants. Each quadrant corresponds to one of the four major aspects of human life: psychospiritual, biologic, inter-personal, and cultural. An integral approach to health and healing considers the role of each in both health and disease.
Human Flourishing gradually reveals itself as we intentionally develop these four aspects of life along the line of development shown in each quadrant. Progressively, we gain in awareness, knowledge, and capacity, fully engaging the potential of body, mind, and spirit.
A more detailed description of the integral map can be found in my book Integral Health (Basic Health, 2006.)
