Introduction:

In modern times there is a large array of meditation techniques and styles to choose from. However, the most profound teachings and practices are largely absent in the West. Contrary to popular belief, meditation is not a passive relaxation exercise. It is a series of progressively subtle methods that investigate the nature of mind, allowing for the cultivation of a healthy human life and access to the final aim of meditation, a full awakening.
When practiced correctly, meditation is an extraordinary tool for realizing these two aims: A Healthy Human Life and a deeper Awakening accompanied by the precious gift of human flourishing. This 10-session teaching will introduce the foundational understandings and practices that will enable you to begin the process. My suggestion is for you to work with one session each week for 10-weeks, practicing the teaching as a daily sitting meditation and for short periods during your daily life. |
