Personal Mentoring, Life Coaching,
and Health Counseling
In my many years of medical practice it’s become clear to me that
each of us, irrespective of age or circumstance, passionately desires
a life of health, happiness, and wholeness. I’ve discovered in
my personal life and that of others that we can clarify, enhance, and
more efficiently navigate the unfolding of such a larger life through
skilled mentoring and guidance. That is the central teaching of all
the great healing and spiritual traditions. Throughout time and across
cultures individuals seeking an optimal and profound well being of body,
mind, and spirit have relied on wise mentors to guide them along the
path toward the fruition of this goal. It’s no different now than
it’s been in times past.
In our time it is not easy to find a skillful mentor.
We do not value this capacity in western culture. Our focus on self-reliance
has ignored the reality that there are things we cannot do for our self.
This is quite apparent when it comes to our education. None of us could
learn to read or write without the help of others. Similarly, none of
us would consider trying to build a bridge without the instruction,
guidance, and mentoring of a skilled engineer. But when it comes to
the most important task of life – creating a life of optimal health,
happiness, and wholeness – we act as if we can do it alone without
help from others. As a result we too often squander our time and energy
on fruitless efforts. The realization that we require the help of a
skilled mentor and the willingness to enter such a healing relationship
is an important step towards attaining an optimal well being of body,
mind, and spirit.
Dr. Elliott Dacher has an extensive background
in the outer healing practices of western medicine and the inner healing
practices mastered in the east. He is currently offering personalized
mentoring, coaching, and counseling sessions to a small group of individuals.
These personal interactions will focus on specific life and health issues
with the broader aim of using these concerns as doorways to a larger
life of health, happiness, and wholeness.
Your initial concerns may include:
• mental stress and distress
• chronic illness
• addictive disorders
• mind-body self regulation
• life transitions
• spiritual concerns and meditative practices
• promoting optimal health and human flourishing
• end of life issues
As partners we will use these important life experiences
to gain new understandings and to apply specific practices that provide
you with personalized tools to move forward towards a larger life and
health.
Consultations can be conducted in person, by
telephone, or through video conferencing. Our first 30 minute introductory
discussion is complementary. This will allow both of us to determine
whether we should move forward together in a mutual effort to attain
the desired goal. If you would like to explore this next step in the
unfolding evolution of your life this opportunity may be right for you.
If so, please contact Dr. Dacher by

Healing Holidays
Intensive Healing Retreats
There are times in each of our lives when it’s necessary to remove
our self from day-to-day life in order to intensively focus on health,
healing, and human flourishing. This may be at the time of a major life
transition, sudden change in health, or at the urging of a persistent
and insistent call from within urging you toward a larger life that
is destined to unfold your deepest potential.
Your intensive retreat, lasting 3 -7 days, will consist of two individual
mentoring sessions each day with Dr. Dacher and time to reflect, study,
and engage in practices. The daily meetings will allow for a full evaluation
of your needs, a tailored program that addresses your specific goals,
ongoing feedback, and post-retreat follow-up sessions as needed. You
will also have time to take part in a variety of rejuvenation services
and enjoy the magnificent surroundings of your retreat. This is a very
special opportunity to turn a new corner in your life.
Lodging and meals will be arranged according
to your needs.
